Brown is also an ordained Religious Humanist Celebrant, and has received his First Degree in Correllian Nativist Church (Wicca), but has not sought ordination from the tradition. Rev. About the Libertine Shrine
The Libertine Shrine is a Shrine, not a temple. A Shrine is a less formal religious body than a temple. The Libertine Shrine has no membership, except for those that desire to join the Inner Court. TLS does keep records of participants and observers. The Shrine can be used for private solitary or group practice. The Libertine Shrine also participates in socially active projects and other outreaches. Besides devotionals and socially engaged practice, contemplative ritual is also one of the foundational practices. Three practices form the foundation of TLS: contemplative, magickal and socially engaged.
Structure
The Libertine Shrine has no formal structure other than the Shrine Keeper (SK). There is no governance over other participants or observers. There is an Outer Court (OC) open to the public. There is also an Order of the Inner Court (OIC) membership. This membership forms the core leadership of the Shrine. The OIC does not exercise governance over anyone in the Shrine
