The Libertine Shrine (TLS)

Greetings!

The Libertine Shrine started as an idea that was at the time called Pagan Awareness Network (PAN) back in the autumn 2006. PAN transformed into the Libertine Shrine in 2007. The Libertine Shrine (TLS) is a Wiccan community based on the Correllian Tradition of the Correllian Nativist Church. LTS is currently applying for membership as a formal shrine within the Correllian Nativist Church. The Correllian Tradition of Wicca is a mixture of Wicca and Native American shamanic spiritual practices

TLS is also a socially active community, getting involved in social justice programs and projects. TLS's patron deity is the Greco-roman goddess Libertas. LTS also gives homage the Sun and Mother Earth to form a triad. In line with the philosophy of the four elements of the Pentagram, Libertas, Father Sun and Mother Earth form three parts of a Pentad with the final member being Aphrodite, the goddess of love and life. Libertas represents air, Father Sun represents fire, Mother Earth represents earth, and Aphrodite represents water. The final component of the pentagram, spirit, is representative of our spirit and the spirits of our ancestors

TLS offers bi-monthly private esbats  new and full moons for Inner Circle members. Participants are also encouraged to set aside the special days as a time of special personal contemplation and observance. TLS also bases much of the practice on contemplative traditions. TLS observes all the festivals of Wicca: the Celtic festivals Imbolc, Beltain, Lughnasadh, and Samhain; the minor Wiccan festivals of Ostara and Mabon, and the Norse festival Yule. These festivals are public.
